Stock-home for a Couple of Days

I have been so busy these last couple of weeks that bloggable events overtake each other before I get round to writing anything about them. I also had the first bout of real homesickness for about a week, which didn’t make me feel much like writing either. I think it was probably brought on to an extent by my meet-up in Stockholm with the man in my life – we had a wonderful weekend and saying goodbye as he got on the bus to the airport was so hard. Anyway, I’m feeling more upbeat now so here are some impressions of this beautiful city in the bright autumn sunshine!

Vasa Museum - I took tons of photos but because it was dark and the boat is so big, there weren't many good ones. Very worth seeing!

We weren't quite sure why a photo of Arnie as Conan was next to this statue salvaged from the Vasa boat.

The last day of the Jean Paul Gaultier Exhibition, which was brilliant - the mannequins had videos of faces projected onto them, which created a very eerie installation and went perfectly with JPG's outrageous garments

Stockholm is amazing – if you get a chance to go there then do, I think we could have easily spent a week (though maybe not afforded it too well!) 🙂
